Round TableRound table: 30 septembre 2022 from 14h to 15h 30 coordinated by Henriëtte Hendriks, Cambridge University and Michèle Kail, SFL-UMR 7023, CNRS & Université Paris8 Aims The Round Table event aims to bring together close colleagues of Maya who have shared an interest in the same research domains, and/or who have cooperated with her on a variety of scientific and interdisciplinary endeavours all concerning first and / or second language acquisition: the collaboration or co-direction of research projects (funded by the ANR, DFG, GDR CNRS Adyloc); the organisation of international colloquia, and symposia at international conferences; the (co-)supervision and examination of PhD students; the writing and editing of scientific volumes; and the editorial work on the bilingual journal LIA (to name just a few). With extraordinary levels of energy, and with clear expectations regarding the theoretical and experimental rigour in scientific work, Maya directed a large volume of original and internationally recognized research projects. The number of internationally renowned researchers present at the colloquium speak to the importance of her work in the field. This Round Table, which unites scientific and personal accounts of Maya’s work and life, aims to illustrate and highlight Maya’s radiant personality. For those who did not have the pleasure to know her personally, the Round Table will hopefully evoke new scientific questions, something that Maya would certainly have much appreciated and encouraged. Language: French or English, depending on the speakers.
Organisation of the Round Table event 14-15 pm: Presentations from invited colleagues Every presentation will be no longer than 10 minutes, followed by a short time for 1 or 2 questions from the audience 15-15.30pm: General discussion with participation from the audience.
